My recipe for a healthy flavorsome brown loaf.900 grams+a bit extra..
Please try my recipe for this tasty brown loaf, and i would be grateful for any feedback you may wish to leave me,this recipe includes potato which helps the bread stay fresh for longer,so here are the ingredients you will need
-1 two medium sized potatoes, boiled with skins on (why skins on i will explain later)
-2
380 mils of water
-3 100 grams of strong white flour
-4 500 grams of strong brown flour (we recommend Allinson or Hovis, you can use wholemeal if you like)
-5 40 grams of seeds, these can be of your choosing but i use pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, and flax seeds, you can also include nuts of various kinds, however these items shouldn't amount to more than 40 grams but you can sprinkle more on the surface.
-6 one level. teaspoon of salt,or to taste but remember salt kills yeast so go easy.
-7 One and a half tea spoon of dried yeast again we recommend Allinson here we use a very small tea spoon.
METHOD
-1 Put your water into the container first, then the other ingredients but not the salt and yeast, then add your salt in one corner and your yeast in another corner (its important that the salt doesn't come into contact with the yeast in the beginning)
-2 next set your Kenwood bread maker to 900 gram loaf to the setting of your choice,i like my bread crispy and well done so my setting is number three, and my program is number two for brown bread.
-3 This recipe is based on my Kenwood bread machine Kenwood BM250
-4 It's very important to take your bread out of your Kenwood bread machine as soon as you hear a beep from the machine to say the bread is cooked and place on a rack to ensure your bread isn't soggy, and don't be tempted to slice it before it has cooled down.

my kenwood breadmaker
I love my Kenwood bread maker because it saves me time and energy by cutting out the hard work in traditional bread making,so no longer do my arms ache from endless kneading and proving.
However this was never the reason for me investing in this fantastic little machine, my reason was to be able to make just about any kind of bread i desired without the added preservatives and the various harmful E numbers. After a short while i was able to create various creations of my own by adding seeds, olives, nuts, onions and even the humble potato.
